The darkness within me increases every minute
With no one to bring me back to light, I surrender
Crying silently within, a fake smile plastered over my face
For the truth has to be concealed, it stays behind the fake
They call me cold without basking in my warmth
Not realizing it’s the mask I wear to be accepted
Maybe I am not one of them, maybe I am too different
Maybe too emotional to show it off safely, just maybe…

Cold because the pain is hidden inside my heart and is lightened in loneliness!! If being cold in the eyes of world I don’t mind because my emotions and problems are not for display and no one wants to see your problems at the same time as they all are to party only in happy times !!

Being false, hiding, and protecting yourself all looks the same from the outside. So many people smile to hide the pain, it is a shame so few people can see the pain behind the smiles of others.

Why do we wear mask at all?
Why can’t we really be open?
Maybe, just maybe if we could afford to take off the masks, then really get see ourselves for ourselves and more.
