What Is Hope?

on

What is hope?
For some it is the reassurance in their partner’s eyes
For others it is the smile on their child’s face

For some it is the ringing of bells at morning prayer
For others it is the meal they share after a day of fasting

For some it is their ever changing calendar
For others it is the stagnation of their routine

For some it is the power of the stars and planets
For others it is the resilience that comes from within

For some it is the faith in a better future
For others it is the memory of a beautiful past

For some it is the birth of a new life
For others it is the acceptance of death

But what really is hope?
Perhaps it is just an idea that keeps us going…

  2. Very thoughtful. ‘faith for a better future’ – yes, every time that I see young people demanding action I feel there is hope we will have a generation that values our planet and values other humans differently.

    Nature and Nurture too

For Where is Hope Where is Faith
Where is Love And Belief in a Greater
Story of Life For the Child the Teen the Adult
And Elder Neglected And Abused in Life For Those

    of Us Who Have
    Crawled in the DarK
