From Dusk Till Dawn

This is the morning after a night of thinking. Just a few hours ago I was floating in thoughts of death and despair. I lay motionless for the entire night, pondering over the meaning of life. Am I any wiser this morning?

The answer lies in the wrinkles of the sheets and the wetness of the pillow. It lies in the shivers of my hand and the shortness of my breath. It lies in the twinkling of the last star and the first ray of dawn.

Lying awake in my warm bed like a cold rag doll, I found the answer that I knew all along. An answer that I had lost along the journey to find it! An answer I found in the dead of the night. An answer that has given birth to a new morning.

An answer that says- Life’s greatest meaning is that life doesn’t need a meaning! Simple yet complex, that’s what life is and will always be…

A lot changed over a few hours, a lot changed over the night. A lot changed from the stars till the sun, a lot changed from dusk till dawn. Am I any wiser this morning?
