Can Love Be Wrong?

‘Click’, something pulled me towards him the moment we met. Coffee, movies, partying; whatever it was, we were always together! But it was not before a year that I could give this attraction a name, love as they say. With a shaky voice and a rose in my trembling fingers I finally put my feelings to words. He said “yes”, can you believe that? I was on top of the world, picture perfect! I still remember our first kiss, it was raining that day and as he pulled me towards him I leaned in for a kiss. It was magical!

Our happiness was short lived because soon my parents found out about us. I was locked in a room but I could hear all that went outside the door. Mum’s wailings were increasing and dad was losing his temper. They cursed him, said he had led me to this. I wanted to say that I was the one who took the first step, I should be punished. But more than that I wanted to ask; “Can love be wrong? I loved a man, while being a man myself!”

But I can’t, so now I hang dead from the ceiling…
