From A Lover To A Poet

A famous Greek philosopher, Plato once said, “At the touch of love, everyone becomes a poet”.

It left me wondering, does love really have such power? Can it turn someone into a poet just with a slight brush? What about the poets who have never experienced this bright lovable fall? But then it struck me, we are all in love, aren’t we? The love of our family, the love of art, the love of animals. The world is so full of love that you can’t find a way to escape it!

        Yamini i meant the sort of love you mentioned in the poem.with bad things i meant people killing each other,rape,not helping the poor etc. etc. 🙂

    yes, we all love and maybe it’s the injection of new love that brings out the nascent poet that resides in all of us or gives the active poet more material. i know it works for me. poetry and i never got along, yet shorty after meeting my bride to be, i authored a five stanza poem with perfect rhyme and meter. where did that come from but the injection of new love.
