Opening your heart to someone, or should you conceal?
Crying your teary eyes out, or stay steady without feel?
Showing the real self, or sticking the mask to not peel?
Tough is the question, exactly how much to reveal?
It would be comforting to have shoulders to cry on, and an accepting friend to let you feel free to be yourself! I see my true self as a pearl, I wouldn’t throw the pearl to someone who doesn’t know the value? What do you think?
That’s right! A lot of time I’m quiet. I don’t like yack nonsense. I only talk about things that are meaningful. So have to talk to the right person. Thank you for echoing to each other here… !!
Ohhhh, no. Leaves you really vulnerable. It almost gives the other party leverage. & I thought it would help them understand my background. Didn’t make a shred of difference. But thank you for the compliment.
I love the last line..tough is the question ..exactly how much to reveal..it’s really true that sometimes when you reveal so much people get bored of you which I don’t know why. So it’s good not to reveal much soon. Trust comes slowly and so it’s good to take it slowly..Wonderful post
Yamini even if the concept of love is the same for all writers what matters is how differently you express it.This is beautiful because how you have written this π
yamini i know that classical artforms like bharathnatyam and kuchipudy has great reputation. But i only know too little to understand these artforms π

Wonderfully expressed and I completely agree with you. Someone who doesn’t value our true self does not deserve it!!

Yes, you are right, Yamini means night and the name has been given after the famous Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi dancer, Yamini Krishnamurthy!

I think this is something that we all struggle with…at least those of us wise enough to know there are things that should not be revealed. Nice!
