A Calm Gaze

on

As far as my gaze takes me
There is an expanse of calmness

The warmth of the setting sun
The ripples in pristine water
The chirping sounds of happy birds
The shade of lush green trees

As far as my gaze takes me
There is an expanse of calmness
And yet, I feel a storm approaching

Darkness is about to set in
Waves are beginning to get rough
Chirping has turned into cacophony
Shady trees are swaying away in the wind

As far as my gaze takes me
There is an expanse of calmness
That is vanishing as I pen thisโ€ฆ

Been So Long Looking Back to November 2020 As It’s True Some of the
Poetry FRiEnDS i’ve Met ALong the ‘Pandemic Era’ of Expressing Creativity

    Didn’t Make to
    The ‘Other Side’
    SMiLes Glad You Did
Hope to Hear More of Your

Poetry and What i Love Most about

Your Poetry Is it expresses Both Unrequited
Life and Love So Common A Quandary in College
Ages And What Is Expanding More in Stress As Work Ages too…

So Far Removed We May Travel From What Feels Like Flesh and Blood
Soul Within For Real As It’s True Inhaling Peace Exhaling LoVE iN A Golden
Age For Real Now Yet in my Early 20’s Taking Statistics in College Perhaps
Readying Myself to Make Lots of Money in a Business Degree or Such as

What my Paternal Side of the Family Insisted Was my Worth in Smarts
of Money Making Potential Yet What i Wanted to Keep And Nourish then
And Grow is the ART ParT of SMart As Honestly S And M And H And E
Minus Art in heART True is Just Not Much of A Life With Colors That Yes

    Make Life
    Worth Loving
    At All So i Broke
    Down Quit For 3 Months
    Went Back And Triple Majored
in 3 Degrees i Enjoyed that Surely
Wouldn’t Make me Much Money Then

And i Sought A Job More People Oriented
Than Things Oriented And Grew my Human Colors
More Yet Financial Responsibilities of Life are a Reality
Eventually i Became An Information Technology Guy and
Financial Management Guy to Make it Through the Golden
Handcuffs of Retirement And that Almost Killed me Yet Indeed

    Eventually i
    ReTired to
    A Place of
    Heaven Within
    Covering Barren Wheels
As That is an Only Place
Now to Seek and Find Peace
And Love New the Lake Just
Shimmering in Twilight that Never Goes Away

i Encourage You to Always Keep in Touch With Your
Creativity i had a bit at age 13 and 18 Lost it and it took
me All the Way on the Other Side of Hell at ages 47 to 53
to Seek and Find it Again And It Hasn’t Left for 9 Years Now

Reaching 62 As It’s True THere is No Age in Heaven Yet Love For All
When DarK is Seen As Gift And LiGHT Surely Becomes The Overall Reward

    With
    SMiLes…

    Yeah in College
    Ages i Remember
    Driving on the Interstate
    Feeling Briefly Naked Enough
Whole Complete Just for a few
