You see me adorned with a crown but you never see the pain it levies on me
You see me decked in epaulettes but you never see how it weighs me down

You see me sitting on the throne but you never see the thorns it pokes me
You see me taming the powerful fire but you never see the burns I carry

You see me as the queen they obey but you never see how much I serve in return
You see me as the idol they worship but you never see the stony shell I can’t break

You see me every day but you never still see me ever…
