To the one who wants to dissolve,
I see you when you try to disappear from the group and walk alone in the rain, hiding away your tears. I hear you when you say you have plans for the weekend but in reality you just curled up in a cocoon trying to find strength to get up. I feel you when you wince in pain when someone grips your wrist, I feel your cuts through that long sleeved shirt. I know the depth in your sad eyes when the world believes in your happy smile. I understand you when you want to dissolve in the ocean like a grain of salt.
But know that I’ll walk with you in the rain if it makes you cry any less. Know that I’ll sit by your bed and wait for you to find the strength within yourself. Know that I’ll start using plastic knives if it stops you from cutting your wrist. Know that I’ll let you cry your eyes out as long as you promise to smile for real in the end. I understand you when you want to dissolve in the ocean like a grain of salt but I’ll jump with you if it stops you from fading.
