Am I Who I Am?

Am I the woman who hears no devil?
Or the woman who hears the devil and then shuts ears?

Am I the woman who sees no evil?
Or the woman who sees the evil and closes eyes to it?

Am I the woman who speaks no vile?
Or the woman who keeps the vile bottled inside?

Am I the woman who does no sin?
Or the woman who covers her sinful tracks?

Am I the pure woman who this world sees?
Or the unholy woman whom I see?

  5. Makes me wonder how many of us can truthfully say yes to the first part of each sentence. Although I do long to be more like that.
