A red hot siren they said
Like I am a glowing light
Not a woman with eyes bright
A red meaty feast they said
Like I am a dish stuffed tight
To delve into when dark sets the night
A red Bloody Mary they said
Like I am a drink to quench their sight
Not a woman of fearless wight
A red blooming rose they said
Not knowing my feisty might
That guards the inner fright
A red hot siren they said…
Lovely pic and lovely poem
XOXO Reni

Very powerful images Yamini. It’s an excellent poem that reveals the mean-spirited visions of a population who cannot see what is right before their eyes: a truly beautiful human being who has feelings, who has meaning, who has strength!
Thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much Paul, I am glad that I could convey my thoughts so clearly through a few words. Poetry is the voice of many and I hope that it leaves a mark on the minds of these people.

Ignorant fools, not worthy in my sight.
Proven thus, when easily put to flight 😎
