Being Alive

on

I breathe in and I breathe out
Each second, every day for life
I blink fast and I blink slow
Each minute, every day for life
I laugh day in and day out
Each hour, every day for life
I hold my tears in and cry my eyes out
Each day, every day for life

I do what a human does
Each minute, every day for life
I am alive and stay alive
Each day, every day for life

But is this life? Not being dead is being alive…
But is there any life in being alive?

Sadly there are many people who are physically ALIVE, but don’t LIVE in other ways… There is a difference.

Lovely to see you again, Yamini 🙂 I missed your posts…

You just have to find the joy in living….
    and in everything around ..

Being alive is actually a most amazing gift and a privilege..

So be thankful for the experience of life..
And being able to enjoy all that it offers…

Having self pity is the biggest form of being selfish…

Because you are only thinking of YOU….

    And your feelings…

    But look around you…

    All those happy smiling faces..
    is no different from you…

They are experiencing the same things you do… every day….

But they choose happiness over self pity and misery

I liked your over all poem. I felt the end had a bit of a twist and I liked it. Totally had a flash back to the show Walking Dead. Could totally see some one writing this during the zombie apocalypse.

That’s another way of looking at it… I never thought about zombie apocalypse but the idea sounds good
