Running For Life

Run as I must tonight
They wont catch me
My steps unsteady
And hands trembling

But to stop me now
Is a task of fiction
I run and I pant
Can’t stop for a breath

The motivation is huge
That powers the fire within
On the far end of the world
Awaits a light that shines bright

I leap towards it, I struggle
But I push myself farther
I will make it to the other side
Towards the life of my dreams…

I am close, almost there
Something pulls me back
I fear, I scream out of my lungs
Then I am awakened by a jolt

It was a dream, I see it every night
Close to the reality I will soon face…
