Yesterday

The day I lost my family is gone
The day I lost a friend is gone
The day I lost the love of my life is gone
The day I lost everything is long gone

They meant the world to me, they still would
But they are gone and gone forever
No matter how much I want and try, I won’t get it back
I lost so much in this life but did I lose my life in it?

Losing is a part and I can’t escape it
for taking is also a part, I accepted it didn’t I?
I lost them, sad but I once had them all, good
You don’t lose a thing without owning it once

Why should I cry forever on losing it
When I didn’t rejoice for ages on gaining it!
Life did not end as yet, I will live and live for long
I will gain tomorrow only after I’ve lost yesterday!
