Long Overdue

The eyes that were once filled with love for me
Have a void so chilling that I am left devoid of glee

Each day as I lay in bed craving for your warmth
All I feel of the love we share is a painful dearth

The place that once reeked of our love is nowhere
Just a never ending emptiness  that fills me here

Why I stand in this rain all alone waiting for you
When I know its over but my acceptance is long overdue….
