Before The Darkness Sets

on

The last fresh air I inhale, humid with my tears…
The last sunlight I see, hazy with my moist pearls.

Suffocated I am, deprived of my freedom…
Why captive I am, result of their boredom?

Their leisure it will be, but a death of soul for me…
Silent acceptance they see, curbed resistance in me!

My eyes are distant, false hope in them like losing bets…
The only wish constant, be rescued before the sun sets!
