Filling The Void

He died in a car accident, very young he was. Destiny you call it or a deadly mistake, doesn’t matter. What’s important is that he left a family behind, a youthful wife and a little daughter. “Marry again; you have your whole life in front of you. You need someone by your side, someone to fill the void in your family.” the concerned would suggest.

“Void”, she would think “is subjective. Getting a step dad would fill it or dig it even deeper?”

A few years down the lane and see them now. The mother daughter duo is a family, so complete that the fullest of families would shy away! “Don’t you feel something incomplete in your family?” people would often ask her. “She completes me and I complete her, there’s no space for voids in our life” she would answer! She pushed the norms of a happy family a bit, in her own little way!
