I came crying into this world
She smiled bearing the pain
The place I was in
Was nothing like my earlier domain

Scary, was the new ‘home’, so big!!
Wanna go back to my tiny cell
I was hungry, I was cold
How will you help me, when I can’t tell?

Did she hear my inner voice?
Came running to nurse me, Oh how kind!!
Is it telepathy,
Or can she read my mind?

“Who is she?” I asked god
“That is so loving a creature!”
“That my girl is your mother” he said
“Love, care is her basic feature!”

As per God’s words
She was installed with a caring chip
But not all cards were shown
Surprise package was her whip!

Noooooooo! Don’t be scared,
That was just the disciplinary part
Less of anger and more of love
That’s how she has filled her cart!

She is my savior,
Like a guard on all my sides
Whether I’m in or around her
‘Home’ is where mommy resides
